Lawyer Kuznetsov intends to insist on his rehabilitation

Lawyer Boris Kuznetsov who represented the interests of Levon Chakhmakhchian, convicted earlier ex-senator of Kalmykia, expects his criminal case to be dropped and intends to get rehabilitation.

In May 25 it became known that the Zamoskvoretsk court of Moscow stopped the proceedings on the investigation request for arrest in absentia of Russian lawyer Boris Kuznetsov who had been granted political asylum in the USA. The decision on refusing the request for arrest in absentia specifies its untimeliness and illegality, since the investigation has failed to undertake measures to notify Kuznetsov on conducting investigative actions against him

"For me, it is important that the case should be dropped due to rehabilitating circumstances", said Kusnetsov, again claming that he is not guilty.

According to the lawyer, he "caught FSS red-handed because its representatives violated the constitution and had no right to bug telephone conversations of the Federation Council member who enjoys immunity", reports "Gazeta.Ru".

Kusnetsov also notes that, against the background of the RF legal space, the decision of the Zamoskvoretsk court has been unexpected for him.
