The law enforcement bodies of St Petersburg know nothing about disappearance in their city of relatives of the human rights activist from Ingushetia Maksharip Aushev, who was shot dead in October. The missing persons are Ali Dzhaniev, a brother of Maksharip's widow, and her uncle - Yusup and Yunus Dobriev. The latter was well-known among St Petersburg Moslems for his humanitarian activity.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the UVD (Interior Department) of the Vasileostrovskiy District that they knew nothing about the kidnappings, same as about any applications filed on the fact; and it was impossible to establish, whether such applications had arrived to the department.
Their colleagues from the Vyborg District repeated literally the same, and the on duty person from the Vyborg Interior Division said: "Sorry, even if such application was submitted, I'll not check it now, since it's too long."
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Aushev's relatives disappeared in St Petersburg at night on December 27, when, having left Maksharip's widow in the house of their relatives on Vasilevskiy Island, left in the VAZ-21099 car in direction out of the city centre to "Pionerskaya", where they planned to stay in the hostel. Since then, nothing is known about them. Their mobile phones are switched off. It is known that they never reached the destination.
According to the website "Ingushetia.Org", Aushev's widow - Fatima Dzhanieva - with her brother Ali came to St Petersburg to take their rehabilitation treatment after the explosion on December 16 near the road police post in Nazran.
