The religious website "Way of Truth" launched last year by the republic's Centre of Spiritual and Moral Enlightenment was exposed to hackers' attack. The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent learnt about it from a source from the Chechen Muftiyat.
According to the source, the website published materials dealing with various religious aspects; any interested person could ask a question on a religious topic and receive an exhaustive answer. Besides, the website was used by clergymen to explain the harm of drug and alcohol addiction, explained the perversity of these habits from the viewpoint of Islam, and advocated for the healthy lifestyle.
The source also noted that the website "Way of Truth" "actively resisted the ideology of Wahhabism." He could not exclude that the attack was backed by the followers of this religious trend.
