In Krasnodar, members of extremist grouping "Pit Bull" sentenced to 6 years in prison

On April 5, the Sovietskiy District Court of Krasnodar sentenced Vladislav Gmyrya and Pavel Vetrov, the organizer and one of the members of the extremist group named "Pit Bull" to 6 years of imprisonment in a maximum security colony.

Under the version of the investigation, in February 2007 Gmyrya set up an extremist community "Pit Bull" with the aim to commit crimes against non-Slavic nationals on the basis of national hatred. The grouping included Vetrov and other unidentified members.

According to the materials of the investigation, in October 2008 members of the grouping "Pit Bull" attacked a native of Armenia right in the street, and in March 2009 - "a man, which has seemed to them as a native from the Caucasus," the "Interfax-South" reports. In both cases heavy harm to victims' health was caused, as the "Yuga.Ru" adds.

The party of the prosecution was satisfied with the verdict and has no intention to appeal against it.

So far, the defence and defendants made no comments on the verdict, which can be appealed against within ten day.
