Dagestani wounded in shelling states inaction of law enforcers

Ibragim Aliev, 24, a resident of Khasavyurt, has complained about inaction of investigatory bodies of Dagestan, which, according to his story, fail to investigate the shelling of his car, committed on November 17, 2011.

Khatazhukov: mistakenly published appeal to participants of Moscow rallies may affect outcomes of Nalchik attack trial

The appeal to the participants of protest rallies in Moscow disseminated on behalf of defendants in the case about the attack on Nalchik in October 2005, who deny their any involvement in this document, may affect the outcome of the trial, said Valery Khatazhukov, Chairman of the Kabardino-Balkarian Human Rights Centre.

Investigation of a criminal case against Elena Grigorieva aged 44, resident of the town of Akhtubinsk working at a municipal institution of social services has been accomplished. The Jehovah's Witness accused of fomentation of religious hatred and animosity does not acknowledge herself guilty and in her turn, accuses secret services of "threats and blackmail".

Mother of a resident of Ingushetia reports beating him up by the police personnel

On February, 1, a group of young guys in Ingushetia who violated road regulations were detained by the personnel of Malgobek Department of Interior Affairs. One of them, Akraman Chakhkiev, was beaten up by the policemen on the way to the municipal police department, his mother Roza Chakhkieva states.

Dagestani Prosecutor's Office demands consideration of Khaibula Khaibulaev's complaint

In Sweden, Aslan Maskhadov's ally, awaiting deportation to Russia, hospitalized

Swedish authorities intend to deport to Russia Emilkhan Sadaev, the former ally of Aslan Maskhadov, President of the self-proclaimed Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. He had inflicted on himself injuries, and after that he was transferred to hospital. In particular, journalist Nadezhda Banchik reported on a suicide attempt.

Non-governmental ecologists refused to take part in public hearings on site development of Sochi

A Committee for regulations of land use and development with the Mayor's office of Sochi held public hearings on development of the health resort. Activists of ecologic and non-governmental organizations refused to participate in the discussion. According to Chief Architect of the city, the hearings passed within legal boundaries.

About seventy people in North Ossetia came out in protest against functioning of "Electrozinc" plant

About 70 people in Vladikavkaz took part in a two-hour action held in Pobedy (Victory) square held on February, 5. They expressed their protest against the work of "Electrozinc" plant. The participants of the action demanded to close the enterprise or move it away from the city for the reason of its negative impact on the environment.
