Moscow pensioners-heat victims will rest in Sochi free of charge

Till the end of August, about one thousand pensioners from Moscow will have their rest in sanatoria and rest homes of Sochi on free-of-charge vouchers paid by the Department of Social Protection of the Government of Moscow. The decision was made in the context of unprecedented heat and smog from fires in the vicinities of the Russian capital.

The participants of the ethnographic expedition, which started from Moscow to the Caucasus on July 15 and organized by the well-known Russian designer and blogger Artemiy Lebedev, have already visited the south of Russia and are now getting acquainted with Southern Caucasus. After the North-Caucasian republics, the crews have visited Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Travel companies see no prospects for tourism in Chechnya yet

After President of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov announced construction of a mountain-ski resort in the Argun Gorge, the republic's authorities began talking about the tourist attractiveness of the region; however, tourist experts and businessmen are rather sceptical to this idea, thinking that tourists would not come to Chechnya in near future.

Armenia prepares "Northern Gate" tourist centre programme
