Kulayev reported to be outsider
Earlier today, Ms Zarema Muzhakhoyev convicted of an attempt at a terrorist act in Moscow gave evidence as a witness at the trial in North Ossetia of the case of Mr Nurpashi Kulayev who is considered to be the only surviving participant in the Beslan hostage-taking. She said that Mr Kulayev had socialised with gunmen, but he had not been a gang member unlike his brother Khanpashi. "I cannot say that Nurpashi was a gang member and commanded somebody. His brother was in the same gang as I, but he wasn't," she said. "They never let him (Nurpashi Kulayev) into anything. I was flatly prohibited from talking to him and his wife, because they didn't trust him," RIA Novosti quoted Ms Muzhakhoyev as saying.
