Natives of Dagestan beaten in a penal colony in Kalmykia said that they were tortured by about 40 people, most of whom were not taken into custody, advocate Aza Alieva reported.

Relatives of Daud Kuramagomedov and Magomed Atimagomedov, the victims of torture in Kalmyk Colony No. 2, have no money to pay for advocates, the human rights project "Gulagu.net" has informed, calling on natives of Dagestan to help their fellow countrymen.

Since the start of the military operation in Ukraine, at least 552 fighters from Southern Russia have been officially confirmed as perished, including 378 natives of the North-Caucasian and 174 natives of the Southern Federal District (SFD and NCFD).

Since February 24, officials from regional authorities have reported about at least 217 natives of Northern Caucasus and 83 residents of the Southern Federal District (SFD) perished in Ukraine. Most of the dead were natives of Dagestan.

The Supreme Court (SC) of Kalmykia has upheld the arrest of Altan Ochirov, an employee of the Elista Mayoralty, charged with spreading fakes about the Russian Army. Ochirov's advocate treats this decision as unjustified.

The bans on aircraft take-off and landing at airports of Anapa, Gelendjik, Krasnodar, Rostov-on-Don and Elista have been extended until May 7, the "Rosaviatsiya" (Russian Federal Air Transport Agency) has announced.
