Moscow hosts memorial party on Natalia Estemirova
On July 15 in Moscow in the second anniversary of the murder of human rights activist Natalia Estemirova, about 100 people gathered in the premises of the international NGO "Memorial" on the evening of her memory.

Estemirova's colleagues in Chechnya doubt her killers to be ever brought to justice
In the Journalists' Mini-Park in Grozny, local NGO activists held a rally in memory of Natalia Estemirova, the well-known Chechen human rights defender, who was murdered two years ago. Several dozens of persons came to take part in the rally.

A commemoration meeting devoted to human rights activist Natalia Estemirova timed to the second anniversary of her murder passed off on July, 14, in St. Petersburg. During the meeting a film “Who Killed Natasha?” shot by journalist Milain Soluis on the order of French TV was first shown in Russia.

Human rights activists ask Medvedev to supervise investigation into Estemirova's murder
Today in Moscow the press conference "The first results of an independent investigation into the murder of Natalia Estemirova" was held, during which a report with the results of the investigation holding by the "Novaya Gazeta" (New Newspaper), the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) and the Human Rights Centre "Memorial" . The report's authors the appeal to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev to take personal control over the due process of law in the investigation into the Natalia's Estemirova murder.

Film about Natalia Estemirova to be screened in St Petersburg at memory party
The evening of memory of the human rights activist Natalia Estemirova, marking the second anniversary of her murder, will be held on July 14 in St Petersburg. The film "Who killed Natasha?", shot by journalist Mylene Sauloy by the French TV's order, will be screened on the memory evening for the first time in Russia.

Moscow to host presentation of French film about Estemirova's murder
On Friday, July 15, at 6:00 p.m., the new premises of the International Society "Memorial" in Moscow, located at the intersection of Karetny Ryad Street and Sadovoe Ring, a party will be held in memory of human rights defender Natalia Estemirova. The event will see the film "Who killed Natasha?"

Kadyrov's representative to challenge Orlov's acquittal
Andrei Krasnenkov, the representative of Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of Chechnya, today lodged a complaint on the acquittal on charges of slandering his client by Oleg Orlov, the chairman of the Human Rights Centre "Memorial", to the secretariat office of the world court No. 363 of the Khamovniki District of Moscow. Sentencing of Oleg Orlov accused of slandering Kadyrov is expected on June 14
Announcement of the verdict to Oleg Orlov, Chairman of the Board of the Council of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial", who is accused of slandering the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, is scheduled for Tuesday, June 14. The verdict will be read out at 4:30 p.m. in the courtroom of the Khamovniki Court of Moscow.

Reznik: sentence of acquittal on "Kadyrov vs. Orlov" case would stop abuse by prosecutor's office
During nine month of litigation, the guilt of Oleg Orlov, head of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial", accused of libel against the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, was never proved; and an acquittal could stop "abuses of the prosecutor's office," said Genry Reznik, Orlov's advocate, at the debate session on June 9.

In the opinion of Public prosecutor, Orlov's guilt of committing the crime stipulated by clause "Slander" was completely proven.
